VISUAL RESONANCE Sample #1

Students were introduced to musical instruments. The class is divided into three sections. The first group experiments with the sounds, while the remainder of the class draws images/text related to their experience of the sound.

 

Next, a new group of sound-makers replace the first group and selected drawings became the score for the new musicians to interpret. After some time, groups switch for the final time.

 

The class is directed through a discussion the experience in terms of disciplined practice, cognitive awareness and art-making processes.
