MARSHALL TRAMMELL is a percussionist immersed in a deep commitment to the "trap kit", or drum set, as a site for exploration & experimentation in Folk & Creative Music traditions. He challenges "business-as-usual" ideologies with steet-level social change praxis, embedded in Cultural Work and academic research and writing on these subjects. He performs regularly as a soloist & member of Black Spirituals. He curates R&D-driven, Creative Music series such as Decolonizing the Imagination: Arts Practicum, Heavy Discipline, & the Oppositional Consciousness: Solo Vernacular Series.
